What is the Mommy 2 B Program?Mommy 2 B (M2B) is a health enhancement program created by the State of Arkansas Employee Benefits Division (EBD). It is an education-based program focusing on the health of the mom, as well as the baby.
What is the goal of the of the M2B Program?
The goal of this program is to increase the knowledge and understanding about the changes in a woman's body during pregnancy.
How do I enroll?
Call 1-866-451-8194. You will speak with an intake coordinator who will go over the program and set up an appointment with a Registered Nurse (RN). During your appointment, a Health Assessment will be completed. The assessment takes about 15 minutes. At that time, you will also be notified as to which path you will follow, Low Risk or High Risk.
Is there a time limit of when I need to enroll?
Yes, you must enroll by 24 weeks gestation or the end of the 2nd Trimester, but it is more beneficial for you and your baby to enroll as soon
as you find out you are pregnant. This allows you to use the information, resources, and support the program offers throughout your pregnancy.
Are there any incentives for participating in the program?
Yes, by actively participating in the program, your $250 inpatient copay will be waived. If you are part of the high deductible plan with NovaSys Health, $250 will be applied to your deductible / co-insurance.
What are the steps to satisfactory participation?
Low Risk Pregnancy (as determined by initial health assessment)
- Send in completed quizzes by their 8th month of pregnancy.
- A self-addressed envelope provided in your packet
- Contact EBD Health Services at 1-866-451-8194 as soon as possible if your doctor determines you are having any complications. Always contact a Doctor first!
- If appropriate, you may be placed in the High Risk Pregnancy Category
- Call EBD Health Services at 1-866-451-8194 after you deliver.
- We will contact your benefits coordinator (Health Advantage or NovaSys Health) to apply your $250 credit.
High Risk Pregnancy (as determined by initial health assessment or due to complications)
- Send in your completed quizzes by your 8th month of pregnancy
- Self-addressed envelope provided in your packet.
- Complete a Case Management Consent form and actively participate with the Case Manager assigned to you.
- Call EBD Health Services after you have delivered.
- We will contact their benefits coordinator (Health Advantage or NovaSys Health) to apply your $250 credit.
Do I need to do anything after I deliver to get the incentive?
Yes, you will need to contact EBD Health Services at 1-866-451-8194 to let us know you have delivered. At that time, it will be determined if you need further case management services.
How is the $250 inpatient copay waived?
After we are notified by you of your delivery, the intake coordinator will contact your carrier. When your carrier processes the claim, they will only apply your 20% coinsurance. You will not be charged the $250 inpatient copay.
What if the $250 inpatient copay was applied to my claim?
Call EBD Health Services at 1-866-451-8194 to speak with the Mommy 2 B intake coordinator. They will contact your carrier to resolve any issues. After the claim is reprocessed, you will receive an updated Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in about 6-8 weeks.
What if my hospital requires me to pay the $250 inpatient copay when I pre-register?
Call EBD Health Services at 1-866-451-8194 to speak with the Mommy 2 B intake coordinator. They will send a letter to you or the hospital verifying you are part of the program and will not be required to pay a $250 inpatient copay.
